Oh hell no! Apparently I need to tear the boot apart to get to the inner tail light plugs and run the pre-lci wire. How a you running the wire past the hinge?
Was quoted £160 for the job by Mstyle, but a 4 weeks waiting list. Anyone know a good place in the London area? Doubt BMW will have anything to do with aftermarket parts

You could try Auto Modz https://www.automodzgarage.com/ in east london. I used them to replace a control module on my old car. Price was reasonable and work was good. They offer full lighting retro fits so am sure they could help.

Thank you mate. Unlike other places I called, these guys knew exactly what these lights are. Decent rate at £119 - will book my car in and save myself a lot of headache

Look forward to seeing the end result did you get the V2 versions? Much prefer the full width brake light on the V2.

I’m really pleased with how they look on my 340i

From what I've seen, you need to route the wire in the flexible tubing that circled below (but on the RHD side).

Red or Smoked/Blackline? This video should answer your question. Installed smoked on one side and red on the other.
