Hey guys, so I was reading on a different part of the forum that you can active CarPlay on Entrynav2 (EntryEvo) unites, as long as there is a WiFi port at the back.
This was new to me as until now I was under the impression that you needed evo id5/6 for CarPlay. I can't justify spending £1000 for an id6 unit not to mention the added complication the the ATM box and associated wiring. Entrynav2 units with with WiFi, part no 8705960 sell on eBay for £100 and less! I currently have a 2014 f30 with EntryNav. Any advice on what it would take to get an Entrynav2 unit working on my car would be great. Would it be as simple as buying an Entrynav2 unit and emulator harness? Also, I have retrofitted an 8.8 screen already. I know this isn't compatible with id5/6 because of a voltage issue?! Does anyone have any info re Entrynav2? |

Regarding monitor you can buy on eBay a cable that reduces the voltage and actually makes your APIX1 display work with EntryNav2 head unit.
Just search for something like "Retrofit CID cable for BMW EVO unit to NBT monitor". I personally didn't test but heard that it works |
