I had the same connection problem with a laptop running Windows 10 and a Windows XP laptop. After installing the driver on both laptops, they connected to the amplifier.

Without the above driver installed, the DSP-PC-Tool software will stay in demo and not connect to the amplifier.

Ok so I have been tuning this amp for weeks now and finally I think I have one worthwhile posting. This is a tune for BSW speakers, OEM sub, LHD. Change the file extension to .afp. I listen to all kinds of music, so I tried to get a happy medium. Its not too bright or harsh and I like loud music without it getting tiring. So here it is.

This tune is not perfect by far, so please try it out and feel free to provide any feedback.

Thanks.

I tried a couple of these tunes, and I noticed that kitw, aditoakes on base set up are noticeably quiet compared to the stock bimmertech tune.

I'm not that schooled in the software, but from what I could see, the gain was set to 0 on all of them. What would cause those two tunes to be quieter?

Also, does anyone here have ASD on with the bimmertech amp? If so, how do you turn the volume on that down a bit (or is that not possible)?

Thanks

Edit: oh I have stock Hifi speakers

I started tuning using BSW tune as a starting point. For me the BSW tune was to bright and i needed a little bass. The sound was coming from a little to the right, Now its almost directly over steering wheel. Added a little warmth, is less harsh and so on!

Everyone has different taste, you just have to try it out.

Thanks, I am going to load it up and try it this weekend. I do like a warmer sound when possible.

Heya.

Thanks for the reply.

Yeah I noticed that the Gain was down to like -8 on each of the channels. Even when i pushed everything back up to closer to 0, it still didn't seem as 'loud' as the Bimmertech stock one. I did notice that I could leave ASD on up to about -4 though so i might have to tweak my own tune. The tune I was using was going a bit spazzo after I upped just the gain.

Time to do some reading I think.

At the top of equalizer, you'll have "Setup A" and "Setup B". Right click on "Setup A" and choose file from your computer to upload to EQ. Be sure to save file to EQ before closing program

Stock Hi-Fi tune based off the BimmerTech above. In the original, the center seems pretty up front and powerful. I tried to tame it by cutting the upper end of the speaker. Here it is, you might like it, you might not

Adjust the gains to your liking, but i suggest using that volume cause i think it matches the oem HU gain, but either way that is just a base setup running on software ver 3.11, i suggest to run on ver 3.20 and set the rear and center channel phase on 180 degree, you'll have an awesome staging and depth!

I also dont think the BSW speakers need to be EQ'd, its flat already and natural imo

The initial tune that i made is from software 2.80, and i upgrade to 3.11 and is even better, i also try on software 3.20 but it sounds weird, i think it has phase problem, however they revise it in software 3.28 and i think is the best software overall, just try them

Thanks for starting this wonderful thread.

I guess I am going to be the odd one here.

My 4 days old set up is currently BimmerTech amp powering 14 HK speakers and 2 base subs on a RHD car. I have not tune as I am waiting for my stage 1 and ghost underseat sub which missed the install date. I am very impressed with the current sound after coding to HIFI. I may decide to get a professional to tune my car due to lack of similar set ups here as I am a noob in tuning. If I get a good tune done up, I will share. Again, a wonderful community here! Keep up the good work!

Merry Christmas and Happy and safe holiday!

Cheers.
