I've been playing around with the software for a while now and I think this is the best one I've had so far. I listen to club music and hip-hop mostly. The best sound is in between 60-80% of HU's volume level. Anything below 60% sounds a bit flat, and higher than 80% - slightly distorted (over 90 is very badly distorted)
Could somebody take a look at this tune and suggest me if there is anything I can do to get a deeper bass along the entire volume level. And keep the distortion at minimum on higher volumes? I drive F36 , not sure if it makes a big difference between all the F bodies. PC Tool 3.40a Full bavsound and bimmertech amp |

I would suggest lowering the front and rear speakers to 0db and pumping up the subs to +2db, personally I like it this way and I listen to the same music genres, currently I'm very pleased with the results and I also see this setting in the bimmertech official preset for PP82/86DSP and stock speakers.
You can try my preset, just make sure to reconfigure the IO since I see you have 3 subs in total. Last edited by twodoor; 01-16-2018 at 01:22 AM.. |

I added a revision to mine to include about 6 inches back for seating area. Also included the original RTA screenshot.
devil84 It looks like the Bav speakers and subs are pre-equalized, as that saaltonen tune file doesn't look like it really does anything but add some gain on the rear and a bit on the subs (besides maybe timing): |

Here's my tune for comparison, to compensate for all the peaks in the cabin from the various seating positions for the stock speakers/under seat subs:

I have continued to use Salloten file and amended RHD. sounds spot on with the trunk base. really crisp and clear and punchy. can only crank volume to 75 percent when listening to Spotify on bluetooth.

Did anybody have a problem with the HU volume not going up and getting stuck at about 70% of max? Is it some kind of amp limp mode or bmws internal issue? It happens quite often

I just installed the Bav Sound Stage 1 speakers, Ghost Subs, and PP86DSP amp. The tune that came preloaded on the amp sounded horrible, the factory amp actually sounded better. I contacted BavSound and asked if they had an updated tune for my setup and they sent me the attached file. It sounds almost perfect from low to high volume. I had some clipping on the subs when I turned the volume to around 90% (this was really loud, but I didn't want someone accidentally turning the volume all the way up and blowing a sub) so I dropped the gain slightly and everything sounds great. The bass is decent, much better than the OEM subs, but an external sub will be needed if you want that spine rattling bass.

Does muting the Front Center speaker have a big impact or require adjusting the other speakers to compensate? I muted mine and it didn't seem to have any negative effect - but want to make sure I am not missing something.

If you had passengers, please ask how it is for them -- or better yet try sitting in the passenger seats and see. |

updated on June 4, again.
fixed the front seat T/A adjusted the EQ for rear seat and mid-channel. Been working on my LHD f25 for a while, finally got it done. Here is my setting: 1. base audio (entrynav headunit) 2. pp82dsp 3. bavsound stage 1 (10 speakers) 4. ghost woofers 5. coded to hifi and external amp The volume of PDC and gong are ok to me after EQ tuned. Need to work on time alignment for better staging. Last edited by dc567; 06-04-2018 at 12:00 AM.. |
