Alex's 340i
Just posting to keep better record / share my experience building my car and experience with each all the parts I put on my car. Let me know if you have any questions since I did most of the work by myself, I can probably give you some hints if you want to DIY.
Follow me on Instagram to see the latest update: Alex_F30 Current mod: •Interior: -Front and rear dash cam by DingDing Pai (Chinese brand but works amazingly, had it for over 2 years and still in perfect working conditions) -all the interior trim panels wrapped in gloss carbon fiber except door handles. (Did that 2 years ago, and holding it fine, center console when the controller nob sits is lifting a little bit, but it's expected). -Carbon Fiber Steering Wheel with tri color stitching and leather. •Exterior: -3M Gloss Deep Space full wrap, gloss black roof and gloss black mirrors. (It's been almost a year since I wrapped it, everything is holding up just fine since we did a full disassemble to wrap it all the way around, DO NOT GET YOUR CAR WRAPPED UNLESS YOU SEEN THAT SHOP's WORK!!!). -RW Carbon Fiber M Perf Lip Had it for 3 years now, quality is pretty good and so is pricing. Only issue was that the fitment was a little bit off, resulting a gouge in the middle of the bottom. Install was pretty straight forward. Totally recommend to sand down the inside of the lip before install so it doesn't mess up the paint. -RW Carbon Fiber Rear Diffuser This is probably one of the hardest body kit to install by far. Rear bumper was removed in order to install this piece. The diffuser had to be trimmed a fair amount to fit as well. End result looks great but probably won't buy it again. -RW Carbon Fiber Spoiler Pricing is great, fitment is spot on. Had issue with the Carbon Fiber bubbling. Contacted RW and was able to have it replaced. Huge thanks to Matt at RW! -FTS Wheels GT10 Great looking wheels, never really have problem with them for almost 3 years now. They are easy to clean and probably easier if you ceramic coat them in the get go. -Calipers painted Gloss Red with M logo Process took about 4 hours, and around 50 bucks of material. Let me know if you want a detail write up on this so you can do this at home. •Performance -kW v3 coilovers -evolution racewerk catless downpipe -Awe non-resonated mid pipe -M performance exhaust (muffler) -Jb4 (not on the car anymore) •Future Mods These are the mods I'll very likely get in the next couple of months since I decided to keep the car. -BootMod3 (otw) -airlift 3P -BBS LM -New Lip(?) -Side Skirt Extension -New Rear Diffuser(?) -New Spoiler (?) -Meth Injection -Pure Turbo Will finish up the rest of this post regarding the experience with the current mod tomorrow or the day after. Getting ready to go to Bimmerfest tomorrow. |
