ICM High Flashing / Update
Hi all,
I’ve recently successfully retrofitted 2VF / adaptive suspension on my 03/2013 330d. As part of this I installed a new ICM High (the correct pre-07/2013 part which is compatible with my DSC). I have no system errors on ISTA and the system is fully functional. However I’ve got a couple of ICM ghost errors (Info Memory) - 4827A0 and 4827A4, which are pitch- and yaw rate errors. I first identified these through Bimmerlink but then investigated with INPA_Fxx which has some error activation conditions but ultimately has left me none the wiser. I have also tried extensively researching the significance of these online but have found very little info. I thought that flashing my ICM might help, given the current ICM software date is 28/05/2012 and my car is on a 2018 iLevel. However eSys only shows a CAFD update available (-147 -> -148, see photo) which was tested with several sets of psdzdata full (ranging from 2015-2021) and trying many different iLevel shipments. (As an aside, If I select an iLeve shipment of 03/2012 or earlier the HWEL and all the BTLD/SWFLs become blue/red, but the SWFLs are older than my existing SWFLs so that’s probably for an earlier ICM which the incorrect part). Trying to flash (cdeploy) the -148 cafd doesn’t seem to work and always reverts back to the older cafd. Interestingly, the info memory errors disappear after flashing until the next ignition cycle, so I wonder whether - if there’s a way to update the cafd and maybe also a newer swfl (if available) - then these errors may disappear. It’s probably a butt dyno/placebo, but my feeling is when these errors aren’t present the car’s less bouncy over small imperfections - but I’m definitely taking that with a pinch of salt. I’d be grateful for your advice re: whether an ICM update actually exists! Thanks in advance for your help and suggestions Last edited by esi183; 05-01-2024 at 05:48 PM.. |

I managed to detect CAF for SWE and inject the -148 file, but the ICM reverts back to the old -147 CAFD after the car goes to sleep. Is there anyone with pre-07/2013 ICM flashing experience - I’d be bery surprised if there are absolutely no SWFL updates since 2012.
Equally - is there any way of using a post-07/2013 ICM (which I also have sitting around haha) and FDL-code it to interface with the old DSC MK60, instead of the MK100 which it expects to see? Currently that newer ICM gives me a restraint error. |
