Has anyone done a LCI tail retrofit?
Wondering if it's a similar process to the f30 LCI retrofit? Can't find any diy at all. Hoping someone has some kinda info on this. Thank you!

I've searched and only found very few members that have done this LiteBlue Login.

Hi, I've done it. If you have some questions, feel free to ask. Not fully though (I still need to run the inner indicator wires), but everything other works just fine.

So far I was able to install both outer tail lights. I have the euro spec with amber turn signals, they look great btw. I just need the lci harness for the inner lights. |

Just an update. Waiting on new connectors to come in so I can wire up the inner tails. This whole process is actually rather simple, just needed the right part numbers.

I like the look of the car as well. Mine is still stock silver and although I don't usually like much in the way of mods, the car seems a bit bland to me. Thinking of adding some carbon fiber or something at some point. I've never been a spoiler fan, but I like the look of the carbon fiber spoiler on the GT.

Canbus has nothing to do with the need for coding. I doubt there's a single LED retailer than even knows what canbus is. Some LEDs have circuitry that prevents errors, but none have circuitry that removes the need to turn off the cold and warm voltage checks, or to change the voltage from pulsed to constant.

Not sure if coding was necessary but I did go ahead before installing change all my lights to led with Bimmercode. No error messages when I actually installed. |

Congrats Good luck for the inners. I've had to lower the headliner in the back a little to get a good access for routing the 2 wires needed for inner turn signals. If I remember correctly there are 2 big clips from the headliner to the roof ( reachable with plastic trim tool ).
