Dilemma: New car or vinyl wrapped
Hello all,
I am just throwing this out there to get your input. I know the ultimate decision is mine to make. I usually change car every 4 years (leasing). On my current vehicle, 2014 F32, I decided to keep this car after 3 years lease. I putted in numerous mods from visual changes to performance mods. I am at a point where the itch of getting a new car has returned. My options are: 1. New car which will cost me $30k+ 2. Get my existing car vinyl wrapped $6k+ to get a "new" car look What would you do? My car is alpine white with coral red interior. What exterior color change would get me a drastic change but will also look good. Thanks all.

wrap it, still a great car. Wrap it Laguna Seca Blue, but don't pay 6k for a wrap.... Should be about 3k tops.

It seems like you might get bored of a vinyl wrap, to be honest.
I wouldn't vinyl wrap because I'd always be looking for seams or corners coming unglued.

Put the $6k down towards a new car. I'd wrap if my issue was with the paint specifically. But if the car is also getting old etc., go for a new one.

Thanks for all your input. Any members wrapped their cars? Pics? Pros vs cons?

Had my black NSX wrapped over 4 years ago and it still looks like new paint. No seems, no cuts, no peeling, most people have no clue it's wrapped.
Absolutely love it....a good shop is highly recommended. Shouldn't be more then about $3k for an f32. I wrapped mine because I was searching for a white NSX for ever and just ended up settling for a black on black one owner gem... ive had two previous NSX's before in black and silver, so I wanted something different the third time around and always loved that white on white original NSX-R look. ultimately it's up to you, but wrapping is a great alternative to paint, since it can be easily removed and won't devalue the car by changing paint color and it protects the paint at the same time ....and it is much less expensive. Also, there are just so many colors and textures that paint just can't do. Here is the 1992 NSX which was originally black wrapped in pearl white Here is what she looked like when I picked her up about 4 1/2 years ago |
