AFE Air Intake

Hey guys, I am looking into getting this AFE intake for my 2014 328i (twin turbo). Can anyone chime in if this may be a good buy? Any experience with this? Any other brand that could be recommended? Thanks.

I have the 335 equivalent and I love it. There are some fairly minor fitment issues, which would not apply to you, but the intake itself is very nice. I personally think the one for the 328 also looks nice. The numbers they claim certainly are. If you care about the engine bay aesthetics it's also the nicest looking in my opinion.

BTW your car has 1 turbo.

I didn't have any fit issues. Not thrilled with how tight the MAF wire bends, but it fit fine.

He's just confused. The engine cover says "TwinPower Turbo", so he naturally thought it meant twin turbos instead of one twin (dual) scroll turbo.

I've seen dealers make the same mistake, so its nothing new.

That's actually what I was referring to. That and the MAF sensor does not fit totally flush to the pipe. The grommet is too big. The actual mounting points were perfect.

Install was very easy. Comes with decent instructions too. I will probably be taking it off for services and I expect I can do it in about 15 minutes from now on.

Edit: I am a little worried about the MAF housing. I had to screw that down so tight to get it as flush as possible I'm worried doing that over and over will cause some damage but we'll see.

Awesome. Thanks!
I think I am convinced enough to purchase this now.
Although some prefer the noise rather than gains, I think it's a great buy overall.
