oem sub kicks in when defrost is on?

So about 2 weeks after owning my car, my drivers side sub stopped working. Every so often I wohld hear it kick in but it sounds blown. I just now noticed that when I put the front defrost on, it will do this.

Has anyone heard of this, or does anyone know what this could mean? It's an Individual system if that makes a difference.
