328i removing MAP/TMAP sensors

Any tips on how to remove these sensors? They are on super tight.

Flat head driver to lift up tabs... Also pull the grey locking pin out a click.

Asked the same thing

http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1122719

If that's the connector you are talking about, yes, the general consensus was to slide a flat head in from the rear.

Have not had a chance to do it yet as the car goes into the dealer Tuesday to try to get the Dinan Shockware installed (they stated they can not confirm it will work on a diesel as they never tested it, but see no reason why it wouldn't. LOL)

You just pull that little gray clip out until it clicks, like 1/4" then slip the flathead in to depress the latch, hopefully.

I should be installing my piggyback Wed after work, can report back then.

Just did it last night.

Pull out the gray clip on top, it moves about 1/4" and clicks. Then slide a thin flathead into the lower section of the slot on the rear upper (right side of picture). There is flap you have to gently press UP to release the catch. It took me a few tries, in the end I got it by pushing the connector in (back towards the firewall) and then pulled it off. Like the catch has a little hook.

Different connectors

I'm trying to unclip my connectors as well, and they appear to be different. Has anyone seen these?

That looks similar. Make sure the tab/lock is pulled out, then slide a small flathead screwdriver under the other side to help release it.

Thanks for responding.
Where is the tab/lock? I see a grey tab on the AFE instructions and in the picture another user captured above, but not on my setup.

You're tab is black where mine is grey. It is on the top center of your clip, it slides in and out like a slide whistle. Pull it out 1/4" it will click, then slide the screwdriver in under the flap and press up, then push/pull the housing smoothly out.
