A little too boost happy from 4500 to 6000rpm...

Hey

Yes - I know, send Terry an email or post on N54Tech - but living in China its a long time to wait until the experts wake up

So, as you can see my car is a little (A LOT) too boost happy from 4500 to 6000rpm. If I reset all User Adjustable to default and run FW 8_13 map5 I will very fast end up like below with a FF value of ~140.

Things I tried:
  • Running FW 8_8 and 8_10 which seems to over shoot less
  • Reducing PID from 12 to 7 - no result
  • Setting FUD=99 and all Duty Bias to 50, but FF is still auto-tuned which I don't understand - seems to help but timing is still being pulled because of the over boost
  • Changed my Boost Solenoid/Pressure Converter (it was becoming noisy) - no effect

I don't really see sticking to FW 8_10 as a solution - the newer FW gotta work. Any suggestions?

PS: Running meth on map6 ~50/50 by volume. Stock IC, 33°C (91°F) ambient

I know waiting sucks but i would not change the Jb4 settings without asking Burger Tuning technical support.

In an earlier email from Terry he told me that getting boost perfectly on target is especially difficult with the integrated version, but that I could follow this guide and use Duty Bias to tune it in.

http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29893

It looks to be working, I would just like to see my timing advance increase towards redline.

As long as my AFR is good and my I_AVG is not above 5 - then I am pretty good - right?
