Has someone already tried to search for the Alpina D3 Biturbo swfl for 8HP Transmission, to flash it on 330d F30
I think if someone have a readout of FA and svt_ist we can find the right file.
I only know the old solution for E Series petrol cars but that don t help here

Other way is to create own FA and generate svt but i don t find alpina entrys i can use
So, any hints.

Hey hanselfransel!

I´m already searching since a while for alpina flash for my F10 530d
But didn´t found anything in swfl folder and calculating new vo didn´t helped.
Generated already swfl for 535d and works fine, but didn´t figured out, how to get the alpina flash.

Could you please give me some infos? PM me?

Did you manage to do it? Any hints you could drop for us?

I changed vo to Alpina then i have made a svt soll .
Important is to change build i level date to 03 or 07/14 for svt soll
You can see that hwel is black and second swfl changed for dde.
This is the one you need.
But do not write new build date to car to avoid problems

And by the way d3 biturbo is based on 335d, so the swfl is 335d based, how much and what Alpina changed you can not see.
But main thing in my case is, in every mode i have gear Display like in Eco, Comfort,Sport ,Automatic, manual.
And the shifting is earlier , with less pedal throttling. You can use the torque better .

Geardisplay is now the same for my 330d than this Alpina D3

If you don t change build i level for calc, if youre car is build before 2014, svt soll you will not find Alpina swfl

Did you checked, if you get some errorcodes?
My car is searching for EPS control unit after flashing egs with alpina software and throws error in ISTA.
Before the alpina flash my car didn´t show EPS control unit in E-SYS or ISTA
If i went back to original egs flash, the EPS error disappears.

Do you think its possible to try alpina D3 or XD3 egs software?

EPS should be shown before too, don have seen F10 that don t show EPS.

What do you mean with , is it possible to try D3 Software?
This is D3 swfl for F30.

What are the improvements? Do the gears shift better and has it caused any issues?

For example in sport sport+ the car shift up to 8th not like before only 7th, shifting is not so hard in sport and manual mode.A lot better in my opinion.
Display Gears in every possible mode .
Shifting with 1/3 up to 1/2 is earlier in comfort modus so i can use better my torque which is nearly the same then D3.
Under full throttle in Automatic the shifting point RPM is higher (5100) than original, thats the only thing that is not usefull.
But you can control the shifting points with throttle position in automatic, better than original .

So, a perfect mod for tuned cars like mine , if its equally usefull for non tuned cars i don t know.

Yes I now have the alpina gear flash on my car thanks to hanselfransel's help. I have only driven it a short distance but immediately the gearbox feels better, much earlier changes and it doesnt shift down as easily allowing you to make the most of the torque. The gear is always displayed so D4 instead of just D and in sport mode the car will shift into 8th gear whereas before it would only use 7th.

One other thing i noticed, my car has been mapped and the standard gearbox software didnt suit the map, the changes were not smooth on part throttle and the car surged between gears - this no longer happens the gearbox feels designed for the power. I would recommend if you are brave and don't mind re writing your EGS to have the Alpina coding active

Well, don t you think that i tried that as first solution for people, that have no need for Alpina flash but want Gear Display?
The Geardisplay don t come from Kombi.It come from EGS, Kombi was not coded and there is no need for. NCD is exact the same before and after.
