Just wondering if anyone has experienced this

Recently my S4 got replaced under insurance for new one recently its decided to keep dropping and reconnecting bluetooth calls from the car.

On latest software for the NBT unit only different before I was on android 4x and now on 5x

Just wondering if anyone else has had this. Have just repaired the phone to the car and see what happens but wondering if anyone else has had this

apart from android compatability with idrive being absolutely shocking, no, bluetooth has never cut out or disconnected itself

Since my Note 3 on 4.4.2 was working fine with the car I was slightly apprehensive in updating it to 5. However, I've had no problems with Bluetooth at all.

Phone calls, contacts etc work just the same.

Using Google Now via the car mike and the audio from CamerAlert are both fine and are fitted in well with whatever music is playing.

My music consists of FLAC files on a USB stick so I don't usually run it via Bluetooth. Is that the area where compatibility is shocking (snipnoob86's comment)?

One thing to try if the phone was upgraded is to go into the Bluetooth app and clear the cache. I doubt this is relevant if it was a fresh install though. Unpairing and re-pairing is certainly worth a try.

there is a lot of info out there with BT problems and 5.0. My motorola just updated to 5.1. I dont have any connectivity issues, BUT it no longer displays titles of Pandora tracks. Every now and then, youtube will show the title info, but rarely. Always worked before lollipop.

I've not noticed any drop outs whilst streaming music over BT. I'm using a Nexus 5 on Android 5.1.1

i had this on 4.4 - the phone would just disconnect and not reconnect in the middle of calls. The whole idrive system would eventually reboot.

The dealers updated the phone unit firmware (not the stuff you can download) and it fixed the issue

I think it will be trip to the dealers as on the i3 phone is fine blooming annoying thats for sure

I never had BT issues on my S4 with CIC, it always worked great, text messages came through, but no emails.

after i upgraded to 5.0.........my emails started to partially come through iDrive....by partially i mean: gmail would not work, only the "email" app.......and only subject lines

Iv got Nexus 5 5.0 Android and have no issues with steaming and calls.

I can also stream audio via Youtube. What would be good to have is actually play the music video on the iDrive
