No!!
I had my e90 335d stolen (smashed the front door in and took the keys), but used to leave the car on the drive some days I don't do that at the moment, so haven't bothered to take extra security If I have to leave it on the drive again, I would seriously consider getting one. They also suggested buying their steering wheel cover to prevent the Disklock marking the leather

I'll check for you later today, have one from my previous Subaru ownership but not tried it yet on the BMW as it's mainly garaged at night.

Is that huge thing necessary, wouldn't one of these do?

I have been looking at steering wheel locks, so this thread comes at a good time!
I had noticed the disclok on amazon. It seems a lot more expensive. Is it really that much better? Thanks |

Interesting to see people resorting to these again - a neighbour of ours has one on a latest X5 which is street parked. I last had one back in 1993 for my Fiat Uno when I went to university.

If they have broken the door in to get the keys, surely the key for the disklock is on the car key bunch? And if you plan to keep them separate, may as well hide the car key? But then that means they are going to wake you up for it.... Best bet probably is what you are doing, dont park the car where they know which house it belongs to. |

OK, if they'd attacked at night ....... Therefore, the Dislok would have help prevent it being stolen by the OBD port/clone key method.
