General BMW question 3 buttons on rearview mirror

Guys, I have a general BMW question. I've got a 3 series, love it. I stumbled upon a an X3 XDrive 28i today and we drove it home tonight for an extended test drive. It's a 2014 model with 21k miles.

There's 3 buttons on the rearview mirror along the bottom. What do they do? I'v e consulted the owners manual for my 335i and it doesn't tell me. The manual for the X3 is at the dealer.

Any help would be appreciated.

They are for garage door opener, etc.

They are home link buttons for garage doors or gates.
