My Creaky Door Fix...thank jeebus it is gone!
Like some of you with the Shadowline Trim, you know how annoying the creak can be. I tried a couple of things with no success including treating gaskets with leather treatment and looking for gummi pflege (which I couldn't find). Decided to go with the teflon tape route. Here is my experience:
Pre-fix. This was soooooo annoying. Every time I drove, I heard it. Couldn't turn the music up loud enough. (Embedded YouTube link not working...sorry) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5tjaVvCepc4 So this is what I got: http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/de...itemDetailTab_ Opened up the doors to clean the surface Used the suggestion of a fellow forum member and took painters tape to designate where the door would cover when closed. Pic of the tape: Applied - with some bubbles and excess: At this point, I trimmed the excess with an exacto knife and worked out most of the bubbles. Doors closed: No creaks! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MNUWFmhIOoQ So freaking happy this worked.

No, unfortunately. I have only experienced the creaking on the driver's side though so I started there. I also didn't want to even think about doing both sides until I confirmed it worked. That said, so far so good. I haven't heard anything since application.
I'd love BMW to pick up the tab for the tape, but I was hesitant to bring it in after hearing some people's stories of being told to either "Keep their car clean" (which doesn't seem to have anything to do with it) or take panels off trying to find the creak and just risk adding more vibrations. $20 to not have to deal with that and the time of taking the car in seemed worth it. Aesthetically, I haven't even noticed the tape since I applied it either. Just have to make sure you get the transparent kind.

I was reluctant to use the knockoff. Got the 3M tape from here:
http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/de...itemDetailTab_ Search google for 3M 6356 and you should get some hits.
