Cc-id 419 problem after aa tune
So i just installed my AA tune yesterday evening..was good up until this evening going to work it was bumper to bumper so no spirited driving and then my check engine came on with the lift logo
Car went into a limp mode and couldnt accelerate at all..as i pulled over i shut the car off and then ran it up again car ran fine but check engine light was still on Has this happened to anyone afer the AA tune or in general? Any help would be appreciated as this is the first time having trouble with my car |

Yes, still happening to mine. AA isn't helping as they are stating that there is nothing wrong with the tune. I replaced the plugs and it is still an issue. Bmw thinks it is a throttle body issue. Who knows.

Yes it happens. I have not gotten an overall fix for it other than "here try this tune"

Speak with Nic, he is by far the best person I have dealt with there.

Still having this problem...on cold days which is mostly everyday here so far in NY it hivrevs then settles down. Mostly highway cruising when im accelerating more it struggles to pick up and sometimes feels like it surges and it eventualy stalls out and its really annoying. At red lights it idles eratic sometimes even jerks the car like someones pressing the gas an brake at the same time. Not real happy with AA.

It's probably just the tune exposing an issue that's been looming. I've had the aa tune (and am currently trying running their beta 3 stage tune) for 4 years and at most I'll get an obd CEL that goes out after a couple drive cycles. But only immediately after I flash the ecu.
Start troubleshooting your hardware alongside your chat with AA. |

I would suspect an vacuum leak or faulty maf. Have you tried going back to stock tune and seeing if the problem is still there? |

As far as I have been reading a lot of guys with BPC also have erratic RPM at idle, more so than the guys with AA. Although its not a fair comparison as most guys are probably running AA as BPC is still kind of new
I think its more of a car issue than a tune issue ... |

Your definition for "a lot" is very broad. IIRC, so far only 3-4 people (including myself) complained about BPC idle and all of us said it got better. There was bunch of people complaining about AA idle too. Some never got better. |

For MAF: Try cleaning (or swapping maf) and see what happens. Try disconnecting it completely and see how the car runs. |
