RDC Module malfunction

I'm getting an intermittent RDC Module malfunction error on the idrive since Thursday
the car seems to see the TPMS ok for a while, and every so often it throws the an RDC malfunction error and loses the TPMS data.
it seems to correct itself after a bit.
off to the dealer (again!) on Wednesday to have it looked at.

dealer has confirmed the RDC module is gubbed and needs replacing.
