Replacing wiper blades
Hey guys
In need of replacment wiper blades, current ones leave a trail of water on the screen. Ive learnt the baldes must be in the 'replacement position' simple enough.. I wanted to ask peoples opinions of a decent set of blades, any links to a good set that folks have used and would recommend would be appreciated. |

I think it's worth mentioning how to get them into "Replacement Position"
1. ![]() 2. After turning the car off completely, push up on the wiper stalk for about 3-5 seconds. The wipers will move to the full vertical position. From this position you can change blades etc. I just turn the wipers on to return them to their correct position. Do not pull them up manually.

Bosch every time. Remember when we had cayenne the Porsche ones were replaced due to squeaking constantly. Porsche blamed whatever I was using to clean glass. Swapped them even though they were new for Bosch. Never had a problem after that.

I have used Bosch blades almost exclusively for many years now. Been very satisfied with them. Valeo are an OEM supplier for wiper blades and would probably give them a go if the price was right but there is only pennies difference price-wise at the moment.

I fitted Bosch on my E91, not as good as OEM. Not as neat a fit and finish. Not as quiet, not as smooth or as good at cleaning when a bit dirty.
I'm currently still on the original BMW wipers at 5-years, (they get used a lot up here), will replace with OEM when required. |

i have Bosch blades on another car. The universal attachment in the middle of the blade is huge. I wouldn't buy them again because of that.
To be fair, BMW blades aren't that expensive, they are slim and the right part. Just get them. |

Let me see, pay £55 for genuine BMW blades: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-Genuin...UAAOSwnLdWqR60 Or pay around £25 with postage for the EXACT same blade: http://www.wiperblades.co.uk/bmw-3-s...1-wiper-blade/ ![]() ![]()
