2013 335i N55 Dyno 400whp, 473wtrq STOCK TURBO. With JB4 different map comparisons!!

Hi guys,

I was able to secure some dyno time this weekend and I threw my 2013 335i M Sport on for some testing. Overall, I was extremely pleased on how my car ran and it even out performed some of the figures I had in my head. I was able to hit that 400whp club on stock turbo

I will get to the good stuff first. Car is equipped with a 6 speed MT, full bolt ons (minus FMIC), running ~e40 mix and JB4.

Best pull was 400whp, 473wtrq. I baselined on this SAME dyno bone stock with 273whp, 298wtrq. These are gains of 127whp and 175wtrq.

Here is the video of the pull:

Here is the log from the best pull. Running map 7

I did another dyno run directly after (still on map 7)...numbers were slightly lower due to heat soak.

Baseline Run FBO vs. Map 7.

STOCK DYNO SHEET

---------------------------------------------------
After this I decided to do some independent dyno testing with my JB4.

*Please note the below runs contained e40 (aside from stock baseline number which had 93 pump gas.) If you are running straight pump gas, expect the numbers to be lower.

Here are the results:

Bone stock: 273whp, 298wtrq
FBO Stock Boost: 311whp, 322wtrq
Map 1: 354whp, 384wtrq
Map 2: 356whp, 424wtrq
Map 5: 376whp, 396wtrq
Map 7: 400whp, 473wtrq

F30_SixSpeed thats awesome!!! I'm starting to play with e85 right now and trying to find a good guide on how to go about it. Do you have any recommendations? Also do you see any crazy AFR's? My logs are showing me in the 20's running E30.

Thanks. These cars run on the leaner side, even stock. 13s midrange and 12s up top. I was seeing low 12s towards redline on my ethanol mix. It should be slightly be slightly richer on straight pump gas.

BTW... I saw your other thread on N54. I think you were looking at it wrong. Didn't look too bad from the logs you sent. Best is to start with 3 or so gallons of e85, log it... if everything looks good add a little more moving forward. PWG cars can run higher mixes EWG cars.

Thanks and yes I was totally reading the data wrong. For whatever reason the graph on the left column didn't reset. I hope to get my 335i with 6 speed MT to your performance level!! Are you still on the stock clutch?

Yea I'm a little nervous with that insane torque... but stock clutch still grabs like a MFer lol. I'll have to ask some big name tuner guys on what the stock clutch can hold.... I know burger tuning was at 470+ torque on the stock clutch for a while.

I also run map 1 or 5 for the most part daily driving which should make it a bit easier day to day.

Congrats! Great results!

What's the boost with 400WHP if you don't mind?

And I am assuming the best you get with 93 octane is 356whp on map 2? What's the boost then?

On the 400whp run (map 7) I peaked at 19psi.

Map 1 commands 4 psi over stock and map 2 commands 6 psi over stock... so roughly 12 & 14 PSI for those lower maps, though they may be user dependent considering what else is done to the car (DP, exhaust, intake, etc.)

All the runs were using around 6 gallons of e85 mixed with 93, its roughly an e40 mixture. I would expect lower numbers on just 93 pump gas.

How many miles do you have on your stock clutch? I just tried doing a dyno with FBO, 70% meth, 94 Oct Gas on Map 7 and my clutch was slipping during 3.5-4k RPM. The guy said the clutch started slipping where tq was at 450+.

I have a 2014 335i RWD so its EWG with 62,000km. Thinking if my stock clutch is too worn or I just need a better clutch like Spec 2+ to hold that power.

35k miles. Your clutch may just not be able to grab it... its harder on the dyno as well since you're in a higher gear starting at a lower RPM. Hopefully it holds on the street for you. I've been told by many people the stock one should be able to hold 450+ whp/trq without any problems. I spoke with Terry at Burger Motorsport who said the same thing.
