Did BMW not replace my rotors

I was changing my winter tires today and I was looking at the rotors and they look hella old. I did a full brake job last spring (2015). Should my rotors look this corroded for being only a year old?

By comparison, here are my rear rotors which were replaced this summer under some warranty work. I have a hard time believing they will look like the ones on the front by this time next year. Did BMW screw me?

Lastly here is why my brothers rotors look like, he also had his brakes done around the same time last year. Notice that the center hub is painted grey like my new rear rotors. Where as the hub on my front rotors or dark/rusty.

Bmw will not replace rotors if they do not measure under min. spec. So no they did not screw you.

You can't judge "age" of the rotors by how rusty it looks. Rotors are made of iron and will rust very quickly when exposed to the elements. It could be the front rotors never had a rust proof coating sprayed on them to begin with, or it has broken down/rusted through already due to the heavier heat cycling experienced by the front rotors since they work harder. It could also be brake dust from your pads getting baked on the non-friction surfaces of the rotor since it looks more dark instead of rusty.

Judging by how there is minimal "lip" on the outer or inner edge of the friction area, I would say the the rotor looks fairly new.

judging by the lip they have and how it looks on the pictures, those fronts were not changed. Also, I don't know how bad is the weather where you live but mines, new fronts after almost a year, they look pretty pretty good, almost no rust and not a mm of lip on them.

Need to replace rotors on my 2011 335D any ideas what that this might cost? Would you do at dealer or recommend Indy shop for this? Thanks.

They don't look like they have much of a lip on them... I'd say they look fairly new. And like someone said above^ they won't replace the rotors unless they measure below minimum spec. Now if you paid for the rotors specifically to be replaced, that's a different story, but I still think they look like they were replaced.

If you had them done spring of last year, then they already were exposed to the salted roads of winter last year (assuming you live where it snows.) That'll speed the corrosion process up significantly.
