Question for anyone using or considered Kuda+ ProClip mount

Did you feel that this combo would be too bulky and get in the way of a passenger/cupholders from the passenger side? My wife isnt tall but with the baby seat on the passenger side the front seat is not as far back as either one of us would like.

I have the Kuda Mount and the Kuda Clip holder. It works very well. It does not intrude on the passenger other than it is a little more difficult to access the drink in the cup holder. But, I selfishly personally like the location when driving as the phone faces me. It is not on the dash or hidden from view in the center counsel. I considered the Pro-Clip, it is a very good mount and will attach to the Kuda, but opted for the Kuda. No regrets as the phone can be installed and removed easily with one hand.

I have had this combo for my 328, 340, and my M3. There are no issues with space other than when my wife brings her large purse and it touches my large iPhone 6. Even then, it's no biggie. Get it, and get it now, it's the BEST option out there.

What is that cable running to your glovebox? Is that to power the proclip mount? Did you know you have a cigarette lighter underneath the glovebox? I run the cable to it by stuffing it under the center and footwell trim (no tools or disassembly necessary) and the cord is virtually invisible!

Well, darn it! The Proclip mount came today and the Pixel with case doesn't fit into it. I obviously didn't read the site but it looks like they don't have the charging mount that fits my phone! Wonder if because the phone is fairly new it's not yet available?

The cable is the power cord. This is the "Kuda" mount on the "Kuda holder. I have not hid the cable yet, this was a Christmas gift to myself (my Wife did wrap it however). The cord is a USB plug on the end. I connect to the car just by snapping my phone in! Interesting the plug on the holder is on a slight pivot, plug the phone first and lightly snap back into place! It removes with just one hand and a slight pull. Also, the bracket is on a ball which pivots slightly to adjust to the perfect position.

I have the Kuda mount in my M3. I'm just wondering if you knew you could hide that cord the way I described.

I have a Pixel XL and a pro clip mount for it. The mounts come in 3 variations, no case, small - medium case and large case. I'm just not happy with where the mount attaches to the dash - with my phone in the case it obstructs the view of my nav screen.

Put it in the far right side it won't obscure anything. The mounting bracket works either side of dash.

Yes, I was aware, but I like to keep my phone connected to the center counsel so when I decide to listen to my music, I am connected, the bluetooth connection to the phone for music connects but not a good sound. I would like to know how I could hide the cable to the center counsel, that would be the trick!

Oh IC. I use waze everyday, so I don't like using the BMW Connected apps etc. Blutooth works okay to me. You can still run that cord under the trim down next to the passenger side gap then have the wire come up near the back of the glovebox so it's invisible. Also, I just put a 128gb Thumb Drive in that slot instead.

That way it carries all my music plus artwork and movies. If your car is coded you can play movies off the USB drive while driving (for passengers of course). I don't think you can do that on the phone.

Thanks for the tip. I will look hiding the wire when the weather warms up here in couple months. By the way I noticed you have went from a 328i F30, to a 340i F30 and now have a M3 F80. I have also had a 328i F30 (xDrive) and now drive a 335i F30 (RWD). How much nicer is the F80? Is it as much of a difference upgrade as the 328i to the 340i is? Just curious as I was contemplating the upgrade myself. Thanks.

From the 328i Sport with Adaptive (stock non-sport exhaust) to the 340i M Sport, I felt like it was 65% better in every way. Interior is the same. Going to an M3 was like a 90% improvement from a 340. It really was mind blowing how much more visceral it is. Surprisingly, the car feels bigger because of the bulging hood and wider stance, but it actually handles lighter. Turns are quicker and the car seems to stick to the road better, but at the same time is scarier to drive because how much power you have at the blip of the throttle. It's very easy to light up the tires or kick that rear loose even with stability on.
