19x8.5 +35 Apex ARC-8 Square Setup

Hey guys,

I just ordered a set of Hyper Silver 19x8.5 +35 Apex ARC-8 wheels for my 335i M Sport. I have a set of four 255/35r19 Michelin Pilot Super Sports coming to mount on them.

I've seen a few places where people have successfully run this setup. Hoping it works out for me without having to make any camber adjustments etc. I am planning to leave the suspension at stock M Sport ride height so I do not think I will have any fitment issues or rubbing. Once the wheels and tires come in and I get them mounted I will post pictures and a review of this setup!

I am replacing my 19" 403M wheels with these so if anybody needs a set I know a guy

The wheels have arrived. I am very impressed with the quality of the wheels. Very nice looking finish and lightweight. I was also impressed with the packaging. Apex really goes the extra mile to ensure your wheels arrive 100% unblemished.

Nice! That's the exact wheels and tire size I'm planning on doing for my xdrive. But it'll be a bit before I pull the trigger. Looking forward to more pics post install!

Will do! I have seen others run this setup and not rub even on a lowered suspension. I think it will be fine but will let you know for sure on Saturday. I am going to be providing Apex with this feedback too so they will be able to advise customers on this fitment in the future.

Can you run same size tires front and rear on x drive, thought it had to be staggered?

You can run same size front and rear on an Xdrive. The only requirement that I can discern for an Xdrive is that you have the same rolling diameter front and rear.

It is the opposite, you can run staggered, but square setup is more recommended. If you are planning to have staggered setup, make sure the tires are within 1% rolling diameter.

Wheels and tires are mounted. They look and fit great! The weight savings over the stock wheels is definitely noticeable in the cars performance and the MPSS stick nicely and ride better than the stock run flat tires.

Thanks guys! Yes the 255 fits nicely and I like the way the car handles much better now. Less understeer and it sticks!

Thanks!

Another thing that I should have added to this thread from an information standpoint is that these wheels weigh 20.45 lbs compared to 29.2 lbs for the OEM 403M wheels they replaced. The PSS also weighed a few lbs less than the OEM Bridgestone Potenza S001 RFTs they replaced. The other thing is that this car is on 100% stock M Sport suspension and 100% stock M Sport alignment specs.

How do you feel about apex wheels a year later? Cracks? Bends? I'm not a fan of the flat look wheels but these look decent.

Hi, the 255 and fitment looks great!

Apex, can tell us what what sizes and fitment will fit a F32 435iX

I want the 255 square
But maximum concavity
I will lower, not decided on that yet
I will probably get camber plates
Non run flat pilot sports
Black or gunmetal finish

Can you tell me what products you have to fit these? And offsets

Thanks in advance

Thanks for the post! The concave face profiles require much more aggressive offsets, which can make it a bit tougher to fit 255-width tires.

We produce the 18x9" ET30 ARC-8, which can be used with a 245/40-18 tire, but this setup may require front negative camber and/or rolled rear fenders with certain tire brands.

255/40-18 tires would require more negative camber dialed in up front, and would certainly require rolled rear fenders to prevent rubbing under all circumstances.
