Do you tip your HPDE ride along coach

Doing my first HPDE event and I wasn't sure of the etiquette for tipping your ride along coach. I tip for most everything and this seems like one of those things.

I wasn't sure how it all works. If part of my payment for the event went to the coach or they get a discount for the event. What the normal tip rate was if any.

Would love to feel comfortable with what is expected.

Thanks for any help for this Newby.

Coaches generally get into the HPDE for free
As their payment. I haven't heard of anyone tipping coaches before in my area.

I am interested in what others say.

I belong to the local Audi and BMW chapters have never seen or heard of a student tipping their coach. Now a "for-profit" organization might be a little different.

No. Instructors are generally volunteers and are "compensated" with free track time even in the "for profit" outfits.
