Arrow Bespoke Rolls-Royce Sweptail... $13 million - World's Most Expensive Car!

One of the surprises at this year's Concorso d'Eleganza held at Villa d'Este... was Rolls Royce's Bespoke Sweptail. This car was a one off, for RR's best customer - that's what BMW told us at the event. They also said the car took over four years to build and costs close to 13 Million euros!! This car was a work of art. It really was. I shudder to think how many Rolls Royce's the owner must own(100+ ?)... in order to have the "pull" to place an order like this with RR. Certainly this car will only be a one off at 14 million. The car same with its own number plates("08") embossed into the bodywork of the car. And the car is only a two seater! First here are some pics to set the mood at Villa d'Este...

On Friday evening was the unveiling of the new 8er Coupe Concept (which we will see in production at the end of 2018) and the eScooter Concept that BMW AG showed the small crowd at Villa d'Este.

A rather normal looking Rolls Royce seen Friday evening... Little did we know what awaited us the nest day on this very same spot...

I think the Sweptail is ugly but damn, I can't even fathom having that kind of coin to spend on one car. I wonder who the owner is?

$13M can't buy taste, apparently

I certainly appreciate the craftsmanship though. That car is a work of art. An ugly work of art, but oh what a work.

Anyone have any inside information on the "08"? The car is RHD, so that narrows down it's intended destination a bit. Is this going to some nutty footballer? I've read elsewhere that 08 is a chassis number, or numberplate, or some other such nonsense. Sorry, but I'm not buying it. No one displays a number so prominently in the absence of some significance.

8 is the luckiest number in chinese. but 0 is considered unlucky. maybe the person already has the plate "88" and couldn't use just a single digit?

hong kong drives on the left side, so that would be my guess.

Wouldn't a Chinese car be LHD?

No significant EPL footballers currently wear 8 either.

was about to update my post...hong kong drives on the left side.

im not sure if this is true in CN/HK, but i know in japan, the ultra wealthy import LHD cars just to flaunt their wealth, even though everyone drives on the left side of the road there

I'm super impressed at the pull of the owner in getting such a vehicle. Much less so in the final product. Great coverage and photos by Dackelone, as always.

Good thing it's a 1-of-1, its hideous. Also for the size of the vehicle it makes me giggle how tiny the trunk is.

Wow, to THINK about all the things that could've been done with $13M and four years of time. The result of this endeavor is abhorrent.
