Hi All,

Like to check, can I upgrade my F30 (2016) to a iDrive touch controller (the one with hand writing recognition). Understand that I will need the touch controller, a control module and Y cable?

Do I need to get it coded for it to work?

Yep, you will need the head unit coded for the hand writing recognition to work. The rest is just a matter of getting the Y-cable, touch knob and hand writing module.
