Hot hatch choices...
I may change the m140i next year.
Now don't laugh, but the new Civic type R was given a top rating by Autocar and other mags and Chris Harris also rates it. Anyway,I came across this appraisal by a young colonial fellow. He is most eloquent and sophisticated so I am very persuaded. What do you think? |

New Civic type r, or golf R - except the amount I see on the road is ridiculous.
By all accounts the new type r seems to trump it and no issues with fwd, I'm imminently about to go in my mates. |

Even worse than the video itself is the fact it has 19,000 likes. Who are these retards? |

Was no one else laughing at his single overworked brain cell coming up with comments that any redneck hillbilly would be proud of?
I had tears in my eyes, like his bird would if I stole all her food. 😂😂😂 |

Don't you think it was done all rednecked up just for a laugh?
At least give him credit for liking a car that actually goes round corners quite well,an ability that is rather under appreciated on that side of the pond. May just keep the 140,although it really needs £5k on an lsd and suspension mods, which I don't really want to bother with. I'm only in my 60's,not quite dead yet,so a Golf GTI would be on the boring side for me I'm afraid. |

I have not driven the new Type R but have driven the RS3, Golf R, Focus RS, A45 and the M140i.
This is probably the only time in my life I will ever say this but out of that lot I would pick the RS3 every single time. You might want to wait for the New Leon Cupra R. |

Front wheel drive vs rear or all wheel drive? Inline 6 turbo vs inline 4? More horsepower and low end torque faster 0-60? I?ll take the bimmer I think it has more sex appeal than a glorified family sedan.

I am going to say the Meecedes A45. Stupid fast. Does not get hotter than that for a hot hatch I think. Just that ugly screen in the middle and command being horrible compared to i drive. Four wheel drive. The Audi RS3 is an option too.
