This is very true, was trying everything till I remembered about the hidden files. I put my usb into PC, deleted all the hidden files and it worked like a charm.

OSX places a series of hidden files on the USB stick which may cause the IDrive not to properly read the data.

If you have this problem use can also use a utility like "Blue Harvest" to remove all the hidden files/folders from the USB stick.

MAC format automatically use GUID partition scheme. BMW does not work with that. USB stick should be formatted with Master Boot Record partition scheme.
