im sure there's a slight difference between 435i and 440i exhaust sounds but if a 435i with remus sounds similar to this 440i, it is what i'd get...

I liked the sound of AWE better so went with that plus i like exhaust. Just so you know the AWE doesn't use the exhaust valve where the remus does

Anyone have a preference between REMUS and Borla ATAK? My friend works for a vendor and said he could price match anyone on a Borla ATAK for me, but I still feel like I could get a REMUS for cheaper. I have also been looking at AWE, but the part I like about REMUS is the exhaust valve, but I'm worried I might not get my desired volume (I'm 22, so I don't mind a little drone. I don't want anything ricey and completely over the top, but some stuff is just too quiet for me).

Awe all the way. Best sound imo.

Use a word other than "ricey". :

Sorry, loud and obnoxious (versus loud and pleasant or musical).

Better?

Both are great.. The AWE would be my choice if I had to choose between the two.. But you can't go wrong with either.

I got the awe with midpipe. I can post video for you. I would say loudest without drone. Which is perfect for me

I'd say REMUS axle-back with a catless/catted downpipe and the resonator intact is just about the perfect setup. cat-backs really don't offer much in the way of gains, so personally I would suggest putting that money toward a catted downpipe instead if you are worried about emissions.

to anyone looking for a cheap way to get good sound without spending money on an axle-back, try replacing your OEM mufflers with a resonator on each side, just before the exhaust tips.

Both are pretty popular in this platform. Corsa is another one. For exhaust systems it really comes down to sound and looks, so pick one that you like!

I would definitely go AWE. Also, if anyone in the NJ area is looking for an AWE exhaust I'm selling mine because lease is over soon.

Currently on my car, it's approaching about a year.

Please message me if interested.

if you listed this a month ago that would have been perfect since i'm in NJ and just bought my AWE system with mid pipe. GLWS!

this thing sounds fantastic, AWE gets my vote.
