Bike in Trunk

Will an adult bike fit in the X3 trunk if the front wheel is removed?

With the back seats folded down, you should not have a problem.

Been out with a full size mountain bike (not folded) and also 2x 20" Mountain bikes + 2 passengers today.

Took a few adjustments, but got em in, only thing is, it scruffs the upholstery, so need to look at external solution which doesn't cost the earth.

Is there any cheap trailers for the x3 to accommodate bikes and other stuff?

I could fit one bike in the back, but not two.

I don't have a hitch and didn't want to go with one of the over the trunk racks so I ended up going with the roof racks.

They are great quality and bikes seemed super secure, but oh man getting bikes up there is no fun.

No need to remove the front wheel (as long as the back seats are folded down). I can fit a trike (ICE, not folded) and a regular bike

To replace our VW Scandalwagen, we originally wanted another wagon. Carrying 2 bikes inside was a goal, so I took one down to our dealer to try out the options. The F31 was just a little smaller than the old VW, but still would take a bike on it's side. Moving to the X3, I had to pull the seat (and front wheel) from a road bike, but could get it standing upright along the side of the cargo area (seats down) such that a 2nd one should go on the other side. Now I need to get a board and put some fork mounts on it, then see if this *really* works.

A bike will fit with the wheel removed. Easily.
