Placing MY2019 Order

Hi Everyone,
I'm looking to get into a MY2019 X3 M40i. My current lease expires just before labor day and my last payment, I believe is August this year.

When would be the optimal time to place an order? I think I read somewhere that the first orders can be placed 7/6 or somewhere around there.

Should I be talking to my dealers now negotiating lease prices yet? (Since the 2019 ordering/pricing guides are already out) Or should I still be waiting a little while? I'm hoping to get around 6%-7% off MSRP. Is this possible? I will be utilizing MSD's also as I have been the last few leases.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Also in a similar situation...

Wife's Tiguan lease ends in November and we started to look for a replacement (another Tiguan, Q5, GLC) and I stumbled upon the X3 M40i. I like the car so much i'm going to make it my daily driver

Our last 3 Audi's were 3-4 month waits so I was looking to order something soon, but now seeing that the X3 is built in the states, that changes our timeline a bit.

Since of the ZDB fiasco I'm placing my order as soon as my dealer gets allocations. They've told me to give em a call after independence day.

From what I understand it's possible to give your order to the dealer sooner, but the dealer can't submit it till allocations are available.

Dealer said allocations should be after 7/4 and can only order then. I've already negotiated 10%, buy rate MF (lease), + $1500 loyalty, so that's more or less 12%

Same here. I’m not quite at 12%, but a little over 10% all in.

So you guys are negotiating 10-12% off on a custom order vehicle?

So is this 10-12% off for leases vehicles only or am I able to negotiate the same deal if I'm purchasing?

Usually more if you’re purchasing, I would think.

Interesting, thanks.

I was ready to just put down a deposit for an order and negotiate sale price once the car came in. That's what i've done in the past with Audi and always got a deal i'm happy with.

Anyone knows if dealers are willing to do the same discounts on 2019s if purchasing? I'm looking to order a 2019 for the new steering wheel and was told there won't be as good as a deal compared to 18s.

I’m no guru, but if it’s the exact car I wanted, I would be happy with anything over 10%. Some people on here have gotten up to 18%, supposedly. Those have got to be some pretty crazy circumstances though.

Lol. It depends on how many dealerships you have around too. In the bay area there’s probably at least 5 (maybe more) dealerships around within an hour or two from each other.

I got ~13% without much hassle, but mine was also fully loaded (~68k).

Thanks. Is this % off before or after incentives/rebates? Here in west palm beach, FL I think there's only 1 big dealer in the area. May have to look around the state and possibly up north in Georgia.

10-12% off a 2019 sounds pretty darn good. I was thinking the 10%+ was only for a 2018 on the lot.

I'm also in California, but there are only 2 dealers within 100 miles of me. Which dealers in CA are giving 10% or more off msrp on a 2019? I'm willing to make the trip.

It's only likely if you have already negotiated a 2018 and got bumped to a 2019. But I can still fill you in on my dealer if you PM me.

Dealers I contacted said it didn't matter lease, finance or cash, still the same price. Just watch out if you lease or finance because some dealers will increase the MF/interest rate so they get the difference. Know before you go.
