if given the option to live forever (and ever and ever) or eventually die, id choose death. im not going to get into detail why because im too lazy to type lol. however, im very interested in what you guys would choose and why (hopefully you are more willing to type than myself)

edit: heres the deal, youre the only one immortal. the rest of the world goes about doing whatever it does. everything happens normally, only difference is youre immortal. you dont get superpowers or immortal privileges lol. you simply dont die

Depends on the circumstances, but for the mostpart, being immortal would mean having to endure not only happiness, but pain, suffering and sadness as well. Would close family members, friends and loved ones be immortal too? Or would you be by yourself? What if you lose everything? Then you're condemned to an eternal life of poverty. What do you do when all of your loved ones and relatives pass away? It'd be too much for me. As much as I'd like to see the world progress, I'd much rather have an ending at some point for me.

On the otherhand, if you could have a set of conditions in which you're well off for the rest of your life, immune to diseases and suffering, and your friends are immortal too, then I dunno. I could see it as a possibility.

Aging would have to cut off at 25 as well.

Oh and if there's some sort of humanity-exterminating disease/catastrophe, then mortality would have to resume, otherwise it would just suck.

3)immortal in the sense that i do not get sick, and if i get shot i dont get hospitalized and shit....

This guy is gonna do it ( anyway, he predicts immortality) He also showed a linear human aging through time ( wich off course is odd , you would expect a decrease in aging through time) This tells us there is no limmit in aging.........

I'm not sure. I would love to have been immortal as from 3000 years ago. Could prove all religions right or wrong... experienced some amazing history first hand, etc. In the future, it looks like mankind will have the weapons to blow everyone to smithereens, so I guess I'll stick with death for now...
