Sway bars
Which kit is a favorite? Looking to upgrade both front and rear? Don't want to spend 800 if not necessary? Anyone know anything about adding the f80 connecting bar? Looking for upgrades before replacing springs, shocks/struts? Is the upper stressbar necessary? Chassis should be tight from the factory?

Very few people are, its a mod that gets VERY expensive very quickly due to the complexity of the installation in the F3x platform...
It requires dropping both subframes (partially or fully, depending on who you ask) which is a lot of man-hours. And then 500$ or so for the actual swaybars, you're stepping over the 1000$ mark very very quickly. At that price point, there are a lot of coilover options that make more sense, which partially negate the need for stiffer sways. The stiffer the springs, the less need for beefier sways. My track 325i has track-specific coilovers with very stiff springs and factory swaybars (which are noodle-thin in the E36) and it hardly rolls at all in the corners even on full-on race slicks. |
