F31 coding in blutooth audio streaming (enhanced bluetooth)

Hi all,

Is it possible to code this in? I've seen instructions with Bimmercode if the car has the 'combox' and also other instructions for the 'nbt' module - but the car in question has neither fitted.

Is it still possible any way to get the bluetooth music streaming working? Currently it only has bluetooth telephone connection.

Anyone able to point me in the right direction please? Would be greatly appreciated!

Been a while since I coded EBT but on my F31 + Combox, this was the case:

VO Coding
With Combox: Remove 6HN and replace with 6NK
NBT: Remove 6HN and replace with 6NS

6NH = Standard BT
6NK = EBT with Combox
6NS = EBT with NBT

Sorry I've seen these figures 6NH, 6NK etc. referenced before, also VO coding.. but can't seem to find a definition of what they are/mean?

They are the codes for the options on your car. You'll see them in the new car order, bmwvin decoder or when you build a car on their site.

If you don’t have NBT unit, you need to have a combox in order to get streaming. If that’s not present you just can’t have EBT.

Does the car have any Nav system? My 2014 F30 has Business Nav (606), which is the HU_ENTRYNAV head unit, not the full NBT and no separate combox, and I coded 6NS for EBT successfully.

Entrynav has the combox built inside to.

I'm trying to obtain the VIN to do a lookup. I don't believe it has any extra combox or NBT but hopefully it has nav and therefore built-in combox.

Does anyone have the bimmercode expert coding for the above?

Stupid question, how do I know if I have NBT or Combox (I have the teleservices to contact BMW if that helps)? I have the 6" with business navi and didn't have to code anything and have the Bluetooth streaming work out the box.

I have been informed that if you can connect 2 phones by BT at the same time then you have EBT.

How to code 6ns, what,where? Found this thread scrolling through forum and got interested in this.....
