The Dark Knight, possibly the best superhero movie... EVER

To those that have been able to experience the '2nd coming' aka "The Dark Knight", you might agree with me on the idea that it was THE best superhero movie of all time.. Everything was perfect, the hero, the villan, the whole cast was amazing.. The last movie to attract as much attention was "Spiderman 3", and I just gotta say, that Batman > Spiderman... Check out this article I came across...

Quote:
A record-trouncing $67.85 million collected on its opening day (up from the initial reported estimate of $66.4 million)—OOOH!

A total of $155.34 million (estimated [note that the weekend is not over yet still have couple more hours to go]) grossed over the three-day weekend, topping the previous “Spider-Man 3” record of $151.1 million —AHHH!

Theres a new champion in town

--------------------------EDIT---------------------------
WARNING: THERE MAY BE HINTS OR "LINES" IN THIS THREAD THAT MAY SPOIL THE MOVIE FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NOT WATCHED IT YET!

I saw it again tonight with other friends this time!

Just as good as the first time, and damn Ledger is just too good at what he does. Best superhero movie ever? Easily. Imo.

I still think Batman & Robin was the best batman ever, the one with Arnold as Mr. Freeze and they had Robin and Batgirl...

I'm in Paris for the summer so I won't be seeing it until I get back at the end of August. Hopefully they'll still be playing it in IMAX. I just want to know if Ledger's performance rivals that of the original: Jack Nicholson.

Best gross-wise, sure. When it comes to greatest superhero movie of all time, I'm still partial to Superman(1978).

In my opinion, it doesn't rival it... it SURPASSES it!!!

I saw it at the Arclight theatre in Hollywood, which is a dome building, thus the screen is bigger as it starts to wrap around the curves.

However, I'm inclined to go see it again at the IMAX this time because a good portion of the movie was filmed using IMAX cameras, thus the producers (and other members here) say that it does make a big difference in the movie experience!

+10000

I was skeptical, but all the reviews about Ledger's performance actually don't do it justice. It is spectacular. He is what the Joker is and should be - dark & psychotic.

Let's not classify Batman as "Super" hero...he is like the rest of us, just a lot smarter and richer...has no super powers...
