P10D9 Code Thrown

I want to start off by saying first that I have already searched the forum and google, but this issue seems different than others because I’m only getting the one code (P10D9). I just picked this 2011 335ix up on 2/17/2019, and under hard acceleration, like almost redlining in 3rd gear, my engine light has come on and at the same time, my display reads ‘engine malfuction’ and I loose power. This has happened twice, and when I turn the car off and back on, it resets and seems okay. There are no mods to this car that I am aware of. The exhaust seems to be louder than stock would be but it looks stock. I don’t see a jb4 or anything but it could be well hidden I guess. Any help or similar experience would be appreciated.

2011 335i, doesn't that have the N54 motor?

If so, you might be better off posting in that forum

I don't think it is, that was N54s. The late E90s came with N55s like his. However, it is subject to the blower motor wiring recall, so OP, get that checked out ASAP before your car burns down just sitting in your driveway doing nothing.

My production date is 5/27/2010 (vin: A742710) Is there a place to see if I'm affected by the HPFP recall?

Also, thanks for the info. I'm going to check the wiring and replace the sensor this weekend. My car is scheduled for the recalls. I think there are 7 total.

Check that link I posted above. You can search again by VIN to be 100% certain. I'm 99.9% about the blower motor recall, and please please please make sure it's addressed. Your car can literally go up in flames just sitting in your driveway or a parking lot (or with you in it driving). It has happened to multiple people.
