Do these look good?

I have no idea to read logs. But I assume their is a boost leak because the boost pre-throttle and target are way off.

Yeah boost seems way off, especially for a custom E30 mix.

Who is doing the custom tune?

having a 1-2 psi difference is quite common.

What has Cary suggested regarding the logs?

How many revisions have you gone through so far?

I just had my XDI-35 installed and will be reaching out to Cary for a custom tune but im loving my PS2 and new HPFP. Even just using the MHD PS2 OTS map feels so much better!!!!!

Need to make a trip to "mexico" so i can do some logging ASAP

This is my second revision. He hasnt looked at these logs yet. I guess the first logs looked good because he didnt say anything. I'm thinking its the ftp boost pipe that I just installed. I will be checking that tonight. I will be doing ps2 this coming summer.

Leak for sure. No big deal but obviously the logs are useless until you get that fixed. Love jordans targets.. its no wonder he makes good power.

None of the pipes were pulled apart. I did find one of the clamps loose on the charge pipe. Not sure if that could have caused it. Everything else was tight.

I only looked at the 3rd log but yes, definitely looks like a boost leak. You deviate further and further from target as RPM increases. I would note that you really need to look at MAP and not pre-throttle boost to see if you are reaching targets. In this case your MAP and pre-throttle are basically the same because this tune does not seem to do any throttle modulation/closure to try and "feed in" boost (at least in the log i looked at). This is is contrast to many BM3 logs i have seen where throttle is more gradually opened.

If you cant find the leak, check out the boost leak thread where i posted some pictures/info on how to build a tester. In addition to checking the coupler clamps, check the bungs (teflon taped and tight), and most importantly the IC connections. Did you install the TIC as well or just CP? If there is any play whatsoever on the TIC-IC or IC-CP connection, there is going to be a leak. Check out the Oring thread for info on how you can address that if you have a loose fitting CP. CP-TB should also be solid. Not sure if you have 8AT, but also check the Oring on that vacuum line to the CP or the plug for that if you are 6MT.

I am thinking it could be the intake manifold. I just took it off to install the xdi35 hpfp. Below are the first logs.

When you had your HPFP installed, did you install a new set of intake manifold gaskets?

These are before I had to take intercooler off to install boost pipe. Which lets me know that its either the intercooler connection or boost pipe now.

I have checked all the piping and didnt find any leaks. I re-adjusted the boot pipe, intercooler and charge pipe to make sure I am getting a good seal. I am still waiting to hear back from Cary. I guess due to the holidays hes been out of the office. Worst case scenario I am going to have to pay a local shop $90 to do a boost leak test.

Looked at the 2nd log, still quite a bit of boost deviation below target. I am able to hit and hold 17psi on stock EWG turbo with fabspeed catted DP at about the same WGDC (and VRSF IC+CP).

Are you running stock Orings on the VRSF CP? If there is any play at all on the IC-CP connection you may need to go to a bigger Oring.

The charge pipe has stock o rings but not the tic pipe. I used the o rings that came with tic pipe.

It's confusing reading this thread because I can't tell for sure which pipe is being called a "boost pipe"?

Both the Charge Pipe and the TIC Pipe carry boosted air and both connect to the intercooler. Also the Inlet Pipe carries unboosted air from the air filter pipe to the turbo inlet.

There are identical o-rings that ride inside the grooves of the Charge Pipe and of the TIC Pipe where they each connect to the intercooler. Look closely and you will see that these are actually flat AND directional. If you have them installed in the wrong direction, then that will cause a leak. Please see attached diagram.

I always recommend replacing these o-rings whenever those connections are touched, which isn't often, just because if they ever fail it's an expensive hassle to troubleshoot a leak. There are different o-rings at the other ends of these pipes that are worth replacing for the same reason.
Hope this helps!

I didn't have a boost leak until I replaced the tic (boost) pipe.
