MPE/Exhaust sound gone quieter
Very odd thing and wondered if anyone has any ideas or similar experiences?
I have an axle back MPE fitted to my 428i. i have been loving the change in sound to the standard setup and have got very used to driving it in the various modes to get the best sounds. However, seemingly out of nowhere yesterday I started the car (with no issue or warning lights), and the exhaust sound was significantly quieter. not just while warming up but all through my 45 min trip. I first thought it was the valve system had maybe failed but having checked this I can hear it operating when switching engine modes. it doesnt appear to be blowing anywhere and I have no error codes. has anyone had anything similar to this or can maybe suggest components to check for issues? |

I tell you, this has happened to some friends with an M240i and a 440i, depending on the altitude where you live, at higher altitude the vehicle adjusts the fuel mixture and becomes quieter, however, the closer you get to the area of Noisier coast is.
I have a 428i, I carry MPE and resonator remus and it is quite remarkable. |
