Progman 30.000 - MOST Ipod

Dealer told me they are expecting the latest software update any day (Progman 30.000). He told me that there are various patches for the dealer installed MOST ipod adapter. He did not know what the patches do. Anybody know what the patches will do to the dealer installed MOST ipod interface?

Do you have iDrive or not? I don't and I have all kinds of strange problems with my ipod. I got my car at United in Gwinnett and they told me I have progman 30.2, so I'm surprised your dealer is saying that 30 is just coming down the pipe for them.

31.0 gets rid of the 3 second gap between songs on a USB drive (if you have 6FL).

Gapless playback?

And maybe, reduced turbo lag...

31.x.x is starting to sound like the miracle update!!!!

Not gapless - just less. Maybe 1/8 second. It might be gapless on an iPod, I don't know.

Didn't notice any less turbo lag.

Well I don't think you have 31.x.x then probably 30.x.x of some sort. U.S. doesn't even have 31.x.x yet.

Actually, 31.1 is the latest release of PROGMAN listed in TIS.

Why, does US get releases before everyone else?
My invoice says 31.0. I suppose they could have lied.

That's something I'd love to have. Would a dealer update that for you just to get rid of the lag between songs, or do you have to bring it in for another problem to get the update?

I suppose if you went in complaining about the "bug", and that you hear they finally fixed it, they might go for that.

I hope they fix the other bug when using a USB drive. When I select an album and song, I can then navigate around the directory, then go back to "Current" track. After shutting off the car and coming back to it, it remembers the song, but it forgets where it was, and "Current" does not show up. Kind of annoying.

Then there's the other annoying bug... when I'm driving around and I adjust the volume up via the steering wheel button, it sometimes acts like I pressed the telephone button, and all of a sudden it does a re-dial of my last number. This bug has existed for a while, and my X3 used to do it too. Really annoying when you're driving around after midnight, then all of a sudden you're ringing someone's phone and waking them up!

Oh, and then there's the bug where the window buttons aren't under my right-hand by the shifter any more, they're on the door! Need them where my hand is already off the wheel and on the shifter much of the time. This "bug" was introduced with the E90, and is the MOST annoying!
