Best black wax for black sapphire 475
As title, any stand out products you guys can recommend with great shine and good filling ability. Loads of micro stone chips I need to improve the look of. The wax that I have been using highlights them as it dries white.
Any idea what dealers use a a filler wax?

Pooboys black hole is a glaze not a wax, but does have fillers in it so will help and you can wax over it. Can also try Dodo Juice Purple Haze soft wax |

+1 for Poorboys Black Hole. That and a DA polisher worked wonders on my sapphire black F30. Really deep shine. I also followed a tip from detailing world about some tiny stone chips - just use a fine tip permanent black pen to help fill them in - much neater job than trying to use the touch up paint on the end of a toothpick!!
Poorboys black hole also works well on my current Med Blue F30.

I've always used Collinite 915 Marque D'Elegance.
Makes my current glacier silver really pop with a deep wet shine look. And it always gave an incredible depth of colour and shine to my old cars BMW Montego blue, VW diamond black pearl (the pearl pop on this was incredible) & mineral grey

Another good choice (I hear) and exactly what you are looking for:
Soft99 New Scratch Clear Wax Dark No personal experience with this product, but I am impressed by the Soft 99 wax I am using. They have a good reputation in general.

As others have said poorboys has fillers in it and it isnt a wax.
Soft99 is getting some good reveiws, Poorboys Nattys wax is what iv used for years untill going to ceramic , few coats off that and then top up with gyeon wet coat every odd wash and its really hard to beat with out going full ceramic. Miss my black sapphire 335d, it was awesome in the sun! |

That's a cracking result, do you apply by hand or do you use a machine polisher? How easy are the poor boys products to work with?

+1 for the poorboys range, use the SSR 2.5 & SSR1 , black hole and super suds hand wash which is awesome.
as already said they are great products and really easy on and off, only started using them after seeing them used on a post on here and used them ever since cracking products.

Once polished I've used the glaze to hide any minor imperfections I may have missed, then EXP sealant, then the wax. Each to their own but I thank they are worth a try. |

If you've got road rash on the front then an option is to get some Humbrol model paint, some lighter fluid and a piece of smooth microfibre rag (you don't want one with pile as it will lift the paint out the chips).
You basically get the rag, put some lighter fluid on the end of it and then dip it into the paint. Now the slightly scary bit the first time you do it is to take that to the bumper and work it in in a circling motion gently. This works the paint into the chips. Give it ten minutes to go off and then take another piece of the same microfibre that's damp with lighter fluid and buff off. This will take the excess paint off the good paint and leave the micro chips all filled in. Give it a day and then polish it. Even something like AutoGlym SRP will have enough abrasives in it to remove any slight amount of your touch up paint that's left. You're also best off giving the bumper a wipe down with panel wipe or tar remover to remove any trace of wax from the holes you're trying to hide. Even meths would work well enough for this. I've done this on a fair number of cars over the years and while it doesn't last forever, it'll last 3+ years and for the time it takes is a very effective solution. |

I use either Blackhole or Chemical Guys Blacklight. I think the Blacklight is slightly better.
Personally I prefer EX-P over the top to seal it. Click my sig... |
