340 Engine stalling

Need some help trying to figure out what's going on . If I leave my car running for maybe 30mins - 1hour idle the car begins to stall and shut off . What could that possibly be .

Are you saying you let your car idle for as long as an hour?!

Nah realistically I'd say 30 minutes

I know it's not a popular opinion but cars should be able to idle for 30mjn or an hour no problem. I've read all of the articles, I know the arguments, and I just disagree. In this day and age If you can't make an engine that can idle for 30 without doing harm then you're doing something wrong.
Anyway on to the issue. If you're car is cutting out there must be codes that are stored. Have you checked them? It's going to be an air/fuel/spark issue.

That's what I have been saying as well , cars should be able to idle for sometime with no issues especially modern day German engineering. To the issue , I do have an o2 sensor code that popped up along with a CEL yesterday . Could it possibly be that ? But for reference the car has been doing that before the code came on up with the CEL

Just curious - why?

Over the summer we had to wait outside before being seated in a restaurant and my brother-in-law sat with their whole family in their Toyota Sienna with the air conditioning running for 30 - 40 minutes. It kinda tripped me out. I sat in my car with car off and the windows rolled down while we waited.

Adding to what others mentioned (examine stored codes as the first step) ...

- How many miles on the vehicle?
- Any mods?
- When did it happen first?
- Any recent service / parts replaced?
