Problem Radio

Hi, i have got an 05 E90 with I-Drive Business.
The reception of the Fm radio is bad

before this the radio switched from mono to stereo a lot so maybe it was already broken.
i have made a video to show it, does anyone know what is broken?

Good idea to make the video but you switch stations so quickly it's hard to tell about the bad reception.

Why not leave it on one station so we can listen to the bad reception?

hmm i didnt think about that

but when i leave it on a station which normally has the best reception it has almost no reception. i cannot find the right word for it due to my basic english

Your English is fine - much better than my Nederlands.

The important question for the radio reception is whether your reception is completely gone or whether it gradually disappears.

That's why a video of just one station would have been better.

the reception on most stations is completely gone, only the stations with the best reception has a bit of reception, otherwise i dont hear anything.

It could be a loose connection or a bad radio module. Electronics do fail.

When did the problem of switching from stereo to mono start?

That could indicate poorer reception and might be related.

hmm i dont know exactly but it has definitely been like that for more than a month

. but i need to go to the stealer anyways because at the last service they forgot to tighten a screw from a panel and is is making noise like hell

also the steeringwheel is squeeking when turning fast.. and behind the backseats it is creaking when going over a bump, but i thought that was a typical e90 problem?

any chance the car has/had tint applied to the rear window?

metallic films will kill reception, and if removed, the removal can destroy the printed antenna

it is bone stock

and i havent done anything to it that could of caused this

yes, it is a used bmw from a bmw dealer and here we get 2 years full warranty.
so its back to the dealer with it
