B47 rough sound in Drive & Reverse
Hi guys, hopefully I can get some answer...
I have a 320D B47 and this never happen before. So few days ago I visit my friend and he just bought a new air compressor That blow air to clean dust. And out of his goodwill, he offer to "blow" my engine bay From dust. Me, being a noob, didn't think it will create an issue so I let him do it. So he stick the noozle and blow air here and there inside the engine bay. Just after I got home I notice a "rougher than usual" sound. So if I put the car in N, the usual diesel noise. But when I put it in R (while still holding the brake and the car not yet moving), the sound Suddenly get rougher. Very noticeable from inside the car. If I put it back to N, the noise back to normal. Same thing happen when I put it in D. The RPM is not fluctuating at all. Just the noise. And the car itself still working. I've tried to look at the engine bay in case something got loose from the air compressor But so far I didn't see anything... |

Check out this thread. https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=2052168
The air probably moved one of your panels slightly. Check to see if your scuttle panel is loose and ensure the foam seal is fitted to it properly. Also check your engine cover is fitted by giving it a tug in all 4 corners. |
