BMW Original Engine Oil? Ether based?

I am wondering regarding the BMW Original 0w40 engine oil

Is this oil POA based?
Is it group 3,4 or 5 based?

Would you rather use Motul X-Clean Gen2 5w40 than BMW Original?

Can't think of a reason to an other brand. BTW it is made by Shell I believe

Correct. Shell has provided BMW lubricants worldwide since Jan 2015. Contract was extended in 2018.
