struggling at low speed maneuvers

So after driving the G80 for a couple of hundred miles I finding a drawback with the ZF and it's actually not the shift speed. It actually downshifts just as fast if not faster than the DCT so no complaints there.... but the first gear torque convertor creep is killing me when parking... I know it has auto hold but I still cannot place the car with precision. With the DCT I could literally inch the car forward or backward just with the throttle, can't do it here. without auto H, the car just jumps as soon I lift my foot off the break...almost hit a barrier the other day...with auto H it needs quite bit of gas to let go and then jumps again...really having a hard time inching back into my garage and not hitting the wall....

anyone else find this annoying or just me...I wonder what the solution could be...

I agree, especially in reverse its a bit touchy. A little jerky in and out of the garage..

I know what you mean. I think it's less jumpy in comfort. The sport plus throttle is definitely aggressive for inching the car forward or backward

Maybe put it in comfort and take the auto hold
Off for parking?

I must try out this parking assistance pro feature that I paid for but have yet to use!

Agreed it is really annoying at low speeds, I have the parking pack and use the cameras constantly to make sure im not going to hit things.

My G30 autohold was a button that I had to press to engage it. Are you saying that on the G80 it's always on by default? Is there no way to turn it off?

if you put it in the startup settings when doing low-speed parking maneuvers, you should be fine. the pedal is soft, and you can baby the throttle...at least I can. And yes, make sure Autohold is off.

This reminds me of how bad the F10 M5 DCT was. You try pulling up close to a curb and you look like an old person stabbing the gas and slamming the brakes just to move 1". It made everyone look like a bad driver with poor driving reaction time.

No such problems with the ZF on my F90. It inches back or forth with much precision, foot on the brake though

Just got my M3 and noticed the same issue. Frustrating to park in my garage where space is limited and I have to creep it forward as close as I can.

This is not good news to hear. That was the #1 thing I hated about my F10 M5 DCT. It lurched feet at a time. So inching up was dam near impossible.

Ugh. I ordered one and havent even driven one. Opsee!

It's better than the F80 with DCT.
After you are in gear, either D or R, you can feel the transmission engage after about a second or so. Then just control the speed with the brake. I find it much easier than the DCT, although the first few times I backed out of my garage it caught me off guard.
