Hi,
the first one is the charge pipe

the second one is called the turbo to intercooler pipe, thats the pipe from your turbo to your intercooler

the pipe from turbo to FMIC also needs to be changed? i thought for reliability usually it's the charge pipe from engine to FMIC...

The charge pipe is the most prone to failure. The turbo to intercooler pipe does not fail at the same rate.

A lot of customers change both as they prefer aluminum piping over the cheap plastic BMW.
