Help!!!!!!! Tpms Fail!!

So I went for some spirited driving through some canyon roads last weekend and everything was fine until my road trip back to Orange County. My tire low light came on so I stopped at a gas station and checked all the tire pressure, nothing significantly out of order. Topped the tires off and went to reset the TPMS inside the car however when I did this it flashed "TIRE LOW!" at me. I figured I just needed to drive down the road a little bit. It's now been a week and I checked tire pressure again and its fine. I noticed the valve caps are numbered do they have to go to specific sides of the car?

Do you have idrive? Some of the non-idrive cars have a problem in which it is difficult to reset the tpm light. Reprogramming the vehicle fixes this.

no idrive, i hardly drive my 335. Not to long ago I went almost a month without driving it and the low tire light was on when I finally took it out. It wouldn't let me reset it then too. Kept saying "TIRE LOW!" but I drove it for about 20 miles and it went away. Think I'm headed to the dealer this week. Spent all this goshdarn money on this car might as well use the warranty.

I wouldn't be surprised. I saw 1 topic about it a while back. Not exactly as many people complaining about it as there are complaining about whatever else the fotm problem.

I believe the old thread that I saw said that the fix was a flash to newer software.

I had to have my car flashed to newer software to be able to reset my TPMS system (No I drive). I do not recommend that you do it until after the latest software is made available. Otherwise, you WILL end up with a TPMS system that works and an engine with TURBO LAG that was not there before the upgrade. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=186936

I just got the same problem a week ago and it still hasn't gone away. I don't know if it makes a difference, but I have a e90 335. I guess I'll go into the dealer to check it out. Maybe get a software upgrade if there is one.
