Is something wrong with my 9500i?
I was driving to work yesterday. Doing approx. 80 MPH. Speed limit was 65. I was going down hill and was paying attention. Then half a mile later I slowed down because I saw alot of brake lights and I notice a police shooting his radar gun. Not sure if it was laser or not but then my radar didn't alert me what so ever. I have a 9500i blue display. Just bought it 1 month ago. Once I passed the motorcycle highway patrol on the side, his lights turned on and siren. For once second I thought I was screwed. But he ended up catching a car behind me. And the strange thing is my radar didn't alert me. Did this ever happen to anyone?

My only guess is that he was shooting laser and they didnt shoot your car, because if it was radar and your 9500 didnt go off something would definitely be wrong

Most likely new generation laser that the radar detectors do not pick up because they have not been designed/programmed for the radar guns yet. I ahd a friend of mine Illinois State Police shoot his new Laser Gun at my passport 8500 from about 50 ft away and I got nothing. New Laser Gun technology is out there but the radar detector companies have not had the time to program it into their radar detectors.
