Sensatec seats do not have lumbar support - owner opinions?
I've come to the unfortunate realization, that no current inventory m240's have lumbar support if they're equipped with the sensatec seats. I have a deal lined up and ready to go but this is a major bummer to me.
This was mentioned as a sidenote in a different thread but now that people on here have taken delivery of their m240's.... How is the actual seat comfort without any lumbar support? If I was building a car right now, without a doubt I would option the vernasca leather seats, simply to get lumbar support. I hate to make this compromise, but I also hate to start looking for a different car. Thanks for your help Last edited by yukoncornelius; 11-29-2021 at 12:08 PM.. |

The back padding on the sensatec seats is quite pronounced and you can really feel the support.
That being said, back comfort is really an individual thing on what you need. I sit with my seatback almost straight up (the horror) so I can usually feel any padding more strongly than people who recline their seats and need more lumbar support to be able to feel it. I've driven in an g42 with both seats and while I didn't play with the lumbar settings when I test drove the one with leather, it wasn't noticable to me. Maybe someone else who has tried both can chime in. Good luck |

Thanks guys - I'm coming from an RS3, whose manual adjustment seats simply do not fit me properly. Was banging my head when I realized that the sensatec seats don't even have lumbar. That said, maybe not an issue. Wish the dealer was local so I could drop down and easily see for myself.

I was trying to decide whether to spec it in my build or leave it out. I wanted the cognac seats which are sensatec but decided to go with the leather to get lumber and side adjustments. I just could not imagine paying close to 60k or even 50k and having basic seat controls.

I got the optional leather and doesn't come with passenger lumbar. Annoying but not a deal breaker. If it didnt have the harmon kardon now thats a deal breaker for me.

I'm not talking about the vernasca leather seats which have the passenger lumbar deleted, but still retain the lumbar for the driver. I'm talking about the sensatec seats which DO NOT have lumbar for the driver, or the passenger. |
